Microchip Today, Secure Tomorrow
At Ann Road Animal Hospital, we offer comprehensive pet microchipping services to ensure the safety and security of your beloved companion. Microchipping is a simple, safe, and effective way to provide permanent identification for pets. Our experienced veterinarians perform this quick procedure with care and precision.
Why Choose Us:
- Expertise: Our veterinarians are highly trained in microchip implantation and follow strict protocols to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort.
- Accessibility: We make it convenient for you to microchip your pet during regular check-ups or as a standalone service.
- Commitment to Safety: We use only ISO-standard microchips, recognized internationally for their reliability and compatibility with scanners used by veterinary professionals worldwide.
How it Works
- Identification: Each microchip contains a unique identification number registered to your pet and your contact information. This information is stored in a national database accessible to animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and animal control officers.
- Permanent: Unlike collars or tags that can be lost or removed, a microchip provides permanent identification that cannot be altered or tampered with.
- Quick and Painless: The microchipping procedure is similar to a routine vaccination and is performed in just a few moments during a regular veterinary visit. Most pets tolerate it well with minimal discomfort.
- Peace of Mind: Knowing your pet has a microchip significantly increases the chances of being reunited if they ever become lost or stray.
- Comprehensive Support: We ensure your pet’s microchip is registered correctly, and we provide you with information on how to keep your contact details updated in the database.

Why Should I Get My Pet Microchipped?
As of August 2024, all dogs and cats over four months old residing in the city must be microchipped per the new ordinance. To support our community, we’re offering free nail trims for pets that get microchipped! Remember, it’s your responsibility as a pet owner to register your contact information and microchip numbers with the microchip registration company and Animal Protection Services. Non-compliance could lead to a misdemeanor, fines up to $1,000, and up to six months in jail.
