Joy, Business Manager
Joy was born in Great Falls, Montana but raised in the small
town of Belt, Montana. She attended school at the University of
Great Falls where she earned her degree in paralegal
studies and accounting. Joy has worked in the veterinary field for
eight years now; first in California, where she worked as a lead
receptionist. She joined Ann Road Animal Hospital as office manager
when it opened in September 2005.
Outside of work, Joy enjoys golfing, gardening, and spending time
with her husband, Jim, and their family. They share their home with
three dogs, a
Pomeranian named Kirby; a
Yorkshire terrier named Tigger; and a
Shih Tzu named Sophie. They also have two tabby cats
named Blossom and Bailey, and an
African Grey parrot that goes by
the name Missy Grey.

Joni, Kennel Manager
Joni, a native of Las Vegas, was raised on a small ranch. She says
her first memory was of wanting to work with animals, and during her
lifetime has owned many different species including geese; cows;
pigs; rabbits; chickens; turkeys; horses; lizards; snakes; goats;
birds; and of course dogs and cats.
Away from work, Joni enjoys church activities, walking her dogs, and
horse riding. She also enjoys spending time with her family,
especially her little grandson. Her home is shared with several
pets, a
Dalmatian/Malamute mix (a.k.a. dalamute) named Bastian; a
Doberman pinscher named Koz; a
parakeet named Birdy; and five fish.

René, Lead Technician
René was born near Frankfurt, Germany and was raised in a small town
in the south of Germany. As a teenager, René worked on a farm. When
he was seventeen he moved with his family to the United States and
has lived in Las Vegas since 1993.
René has been a technician since 2000 and joined Ann Road Animal
Hospital not long after it opened in September 2005. During his
career,
René has also been extensively involved in the rehabilitation of
desert tortoises that have been injured.
Outside of work,
René enjoys spending time with his wife and two small children,
camping, and playing the guitar. His family also includes some
interesting members of the animal kingdom, including four
tarantulas
(Chilean rose and Mexican redknee species), a
corn snake,
Madagascar
hissing cockroaches, and a
Chihuahua/mix dog named Angel.

Lori, Lead
Receptionist
Lori was born and raised in Delta, Colorado. She has worked in
the veterinarian field on and off since 1994, first as a veterinary
technician in Delta and now as our lead receptionist here at Ann
Road Animal Hospital. Lori fostered many dogs for the Humane Society
in Colorado and also volunteered at a spay and neuter clinic there.
In her spare time Lori enjoys stock car racing (she used to drive
stock cars), drag car racing, bowling, and spending time with her
husband and two adult children. She is also an avid Broncos fan!
Lori and her husband share their home with three cats, Squee; Bob;
and Elmo, and three dogs, a
Border collie named Josie; and two mixed
breeds named Shadow and Jersey. |

Ashley,
Receptionist
Ashley, in the military, was born and raised in Yigo, Guam while her
mother was serving in the military. She moved to Las Vegas when she
was ten years old and graduated from high school here. She has been
working as a receptionist here at Ann Road since January 2006. Her
time away from work is spent with family and friends, and she
especially enjoys bowling. Her home life is shared with her three
dogs; two
Chihuahuas named PJ and Pebbles, and a
Staffordshire
terrier named Precious. |

Tasha, Technician
Tasha is a native of Las Vegas. She has wanted to work within the
veterinary field since she was 17 years old and is currently
studying to become a licensed technician. Tasha has been working as
a veterinary technician at Ann Road Animal Hospital since we first
opened in September 2005. She says she cannot imagine doing any
other kind of work. When she isn't working Tasha enjoys motorcycling
and traveling, especially to England. She also loves to spend time
with her family and her five dogs; three
Poodles named Elmo,
Kingston, and Ruby, a
Rottweiler named Heidi, and a
Golden retriever
named Duke. |

Sandy, Technician
Sandy was born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut. She decided to
enter the veterinary field when she was only 13 years old due to her
great love of animals. Sandy now has 15 years of experience behind
her and will soon complete her schooling as a veterinary technician.
She joined the staff here at Ann Road Animal Hospital in August
2006. When she is away from work, Sandy enjoys spending time with
her husband and son, horseback riding, NASCAR, and 4-wheeling. Her
family also includes two
Bichon Frisés named Andy and Pebbles. |

Renee, Technician
Renee is a native of Las Vegas. She spent many years in another
field before finally being able to realize her dream of entering the
veterinary field in 2005. Renee will soon be certified as a licensed
technician. Outside of work, Renee enjoys spending precious time
with her husband and three children. She also enjoys going to
wrestling events and doing needlepoint. Renee and her family are the
proud owners of several pets; five
Beagles named Bowtie, Zoie, Lucy,
Rex, and Maximus; two Bengal cats named Onyx and Teeka; a
ferret
named Meesha; and a
Guinea pig named Shamrock. |

Ashlie, Technician
Ashlie was also born and raised in Las Vegas. She has a great love
of animals and first began working within the veterinary field when
she was still a senior in high school. She has been working as a
veterinary technician at Ann Road Animal Hospital since December
2005. Away from work, Ashlie enjoys Western pleasure riding - in
which she competes locally, barrel racing, and disc golfing. She
owns two dogs; a
cockapoo named Mia, a
German shepherd named Midget,
and two American Paint horses named Dreamer and Apache. |

Amber, Technician
Amber was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She moved to
Las Vegas in June 2004 and joined Ann Road Animal Hospital as a
technician in May 2006 as a technician. She finds the work extremely
gratifying. Away from work Amber enjoys the movies, camping, and
hanging out with her friends. She shares her life with four pets;
her two sweet
Rottweilers named Kaya and Sanae, and two cats named
Furio and Meika. |

Nick, Technician
Nick was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Las
Vegas when he was 12 years old. He served 5 1/2 years in the United
States Navy as a photo journalist. He joined Ann Road Animal
Hospital in February 2007 as a kennel attendant and moved up quickly
to become a veterinary assistant. He has studied hard and is now a
valued veterinary technician and hopes to obtain his license. When
he's not working, Nick enjoys watching movies, working-out, reading,
and hanging out with friends and family. |
