• Why You Should Choose Ann Road Animal Hospital

Taking your pet to a veterinary clinic is no different than taking your child to the hospital. You want the best because your loved ones deserve the best. At Ann Road, we understand that. And that's exactly why we won't ever stop bringing you the best in veterinary health care. For some animal clinics it's enough just to generate a profit, but at Ann Road we have much higher standards. Your standards.

If any animal hospital is going to be successful, it begins and ends with the people that make it run. At ARAH, we pride ourselves in the passion, compassion, and knowledge that everyone on our staff exhibits. Long lasting love for animals usually develops from a young age, which is especially true of the veterinary experts employed at Ann Road.

“My interest developed from a young age. My mother wanted me to be a doctor, so my interest in medicine started young,” said Ann Road's own Dr. Colón. “And I also loved animals as a child growing up in rural Puerto Rico, so yes, it started in me from very young.” Dr. Colón specializes in small animal medicine, radiology, and soft tissue surgery at Ann Road.

“When I was young, I had a puppy that got sick with canine distemper,” Ann Road's Dr. Bullard remembers. “At that time on the islands (Bahamas) they weren't able to hospitalize him. We didn't have access to IV's or catheters. I had to care for him at home. We kept him alive for two more weeks with intense hospitalization in my house. He died in my arms. That's when I decided if there's anything I can do to prevent something like this from happening again, I'm going to dedicate my life to it. It was from such a young age.” Dr. Bullard is the lead doctor at Ann Road and specializes in soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

But we realize that it takes more than passion, compassion, and knowledge to be truly successful in this industry. Good intentions are simply not enough. If it were that easy, every animal lover would be a veterinarian. At Ann Road, we know that it takes so much more to provide quality health care. And it takes even more to provide the best health care. That is what we strive for, every single day.

One part of that is keeping up with technology. Ann Road Animal Hospital boasts the very latest medical technologies that your pet needs. Our facilities are the best you can find in Las Vegas, and we truly believe that every cent we spend on our equipment directly benefits both you and us. While other clinics are satisfied by turning a profit every month, we are not. We are only satisfied if we have the very best veterinary health care possible on a day to day basis. It is our promise to you that ARAH will always be one step ahead of the curve when it comes to technology and facilities. There is no other animal clinic more dedicated to this than us, and that is a guarantee.

“Technology is the lifeblood of the industry,” Dr. Bullard said. “If we do not stay up to date with all technologies, we are not doing our job as veterinarians.”

Another part of it is providing you with the best patient-oriented care available. There is no bigger focus for us than the patients we provide care for and the people that bring them to us. From our boarding services to our physical exams, everything ARAH offers is geared toward the patient and their overall experience. There are other clinics that have adopted a revolving door policy when it comes to patient care. At Ann Road, we prefer to think of it as an always open door. Anyone who comes in will be welcomed with open arms, and they will know our door is always open to them. That's the kind of atmosphere we try to foster at ARAH, and that's why we are the best.

We realize you have a choice in veterinary care, and that it's a very important one. That's why you shouldn't take it lightly, and that's why we don't either. This is more than our jobs, this is our lives. We don't stop caring and we don't stop working when normal business hours are up. We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for you. Ann Road is more than just a hospital, it's a community that truly cares about the well being of animals and their care-takers. We want you to bring your furry friends to Ann Road not just because we are in that industry, we want you to bring them in because we really believe we are the best at what we do. And when you visit us, you will too.

    Sincerely,

    The Entire Ann Road Staff

      Amen to that!
When I bought Dolly from a local pet store, they gave me a voucher to take her to ARAH for a wellness exam. I had a week to do it, but she developed the worst cough the afternoon/evening that I bought her that I was at ARAH early the next morning. I remember just how worried I was about her, and then when Dr. Bullard was examining her and he picked her up from the exam table, there was so much love and caring in his face and his actions...it was if he was picking up his very own puppy. He got Dolly through that initial respiratory infection, her puppy shots, colitis, and more respiratory infections. About 15 months later I bought a little brother for Dolly from a local breeder. Between the breeder's house and my house, Desi paid his very first visit to Dr. Bullard. Little Desi was quite a little butterball, and I can remember when Dr. Bullard examined him for the first time...and Desi gets so excited when we go for his shots that he actually sits in the exam room and literally is screeching in excitement when he hears Dr. Bullard in the back area. When Dr Bullard comes into the exam room, Desi goes running over to him and gives him so many kisses. I really love that Dolly & Desi really do love to go to ARAH because they know that they are loved by not only the vets, but also the receptionists, the boarding personnel, etc. I would not even think of taking Dolly & Desi to any other facility because when they go to ARAH, they feel like they are at home. Thank you Ann Road for making it so much less stressful when they are sick; for making it less stressful for me when I must leave them for boarding because I know they are getting so much love and attention.
