 | C. John Bullard, DVM Dr. Bullard was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. He first decided to go into the veterinary field as a child, after the loss of a favorite pet. He graduated from Tuskegee University in Alabama, where he earned his degree in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. His special interest within the field is in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.  | Leslie Stewart, DVM Dr. Stewart grew up in a military family and has lived various places around the world, although her family has called Las Vegas home since 1991. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from University of Nevada Las Vegas while working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and eventually graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Dr. Stewart's area of interest are internal medicine and practice management. Her animal family includes her very loyal friend, Rascal, a Dachshund, whom enjoys being the only animal child. |
 | Michael Lavigne, DVMDr. Lavigne was born in San Francisco, California, but was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Xavier University in Louisiana to complete his undergraduate studies in biology. It was during this time that he became the owner of a puppy and, in the course of taking care of his dog, decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He then attended Tuskegee University in Alabama where earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine. His special interest within the field is in soft tissue surgery. Away from work Dr. Lavigne enjoys the company of his wife and two small children; a daughter and a son. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking and anything else that includes being outdoors. His family share their lives with a Schnauzer mix dog named Woody. |
 | Jon Nielsen, DVM Dr. Nielsen was born and raised on a family farm in northwest Iowa. He received a bachelor of science from Buena Vista University in biology, and his DVM from Iowa State. His favorite species to work with include dogs, cats, and cattle. Outside of work Dr Nielsen enjoys the outdoors, working with his hands on various projects and spending time at the gym. He has a loving Viszla at home named Kaiser. |
 | Kristin Marchal, DVM Dr. Kristin Marchal was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her family knew early on that she was destined to become a veterinarian because she was always bringing home strays and asking for a new exotic pet. She attended Louisiana State University and received a Bachelors in Wildlife Ecology. She then received her DVM from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests lie in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology. She has a passion for wildlife rehabilitation and conservation and hopes to work with exotics in the future. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and baking. She has 2 dogs, Jack a Doberman and Rita a Catahoula mix. She also has a cat named Ty. |
 | Eric O. Colón, DVMDr. Colón was born and raised in Guánica, Puerto Rico. He attended The University of Puerto Rico where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Animal Science. He continued to follow his childhood dream of becoming a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine by attending The Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Tuskegee, Alabama. His special interests within the field are in small animal medicine, radiology and soft tissue surgery.  | Joy, Business Manager Joy was born in Great Falls, Montana but raised in the small town of Belt, Montana. She attended school at the University of Great Falls where she earned her degree in paralegal studies and accounting. Joy has worked in the veterinary field for eleven years now; first in California, where she worked as a lead receptionist. She joined Ann Road Animal Hospital as office manager when it opened in September 2005. Outside of work, Joy enjoys golfing, gardening, and spending time with her husband, Jim, and their family. They share their home with 4 dogs, 2 Yorkshire Terriers, Tigger and Lily, Sophie, a Shih Tzu, and Gabby, a Peekinese.  | Joni, Kennel Manager Joni, a native of Las Vegas, was raised on a small ranch. She says her first memory was of wanting to work with animals, and during her lifetime has owned many different species including geese; cows; pigs; rabbits; chickens; turkeys; horses; lizards; snakes; goats; birds; and of course dogs and cats. Away from work, Joni enjoys church activities, walking her dogs, and horse riding. She also enjoys spending time with her family, especially her little grandson. Her home is shared with several pets, a Dalmatian/Malamute mix (a.k.a. dalamute) named Bastian; a Doberman pinscher named Koz; a parakeet named Birdy; and five fish. |
 | Jessica Sandefur, Lead Technician Jessica was born and raised on a farm in central Washington. She followed her childhood dream of working with animals attending WSN for animal science and eventually getting her degree in Veterinary Technology. Jessica has been with Ann Road Animal Hospital as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since early in 2005. In her spare time Jessica enjoys anything outdoors from gardening to camping and spending time with her husband, and menagerie of pets, 3 pitbulls, Rylie, Spencer, and Macy, also to include a cat named Tyke. |
 | René, Technician René was born near Frankfurt, Germany and was raised in a small town in the south of Germany. As a teenager, René worked on a farm. When he was seventeen he moved with his family to the United States and has lived in Las Vegas since 1993. René has been a technician since 2000 and joined Ann Road Animal Hospital not long after it opened in September 2005. During his career, René has also been extensively involved in the rehabilitation of desert tortoises that have been injured. Outside of work, René enjoys spending time with his wife and two small children, camping, and playing the guitar. His family also includes some interesting members of the animal kingdom, including four tarantulas (Chilean rose and Mexican redknee species), a corn snake, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and a Chihuahua mix dog named Angel. |
 | Lori, Lead Receptionist Lori was born and raised in Delta, Colorado. She has worked in the veterinarian field on and off since 1994, first as a veterinary technician in Delta and now as our lead receptionist here at Ann Road Animal Hospital. Lori fostered many dogs for the Humane Society in Colorado and also volunteered at a spay and neuter clinic there. In her spare time Lori enjoys stock car racing (she used to drive stock cars), drag car racing, bowling, and spending time with her husband and two adult children. She is also an avid Broncos fan! Lori and her husband share their home with two dogs Jersey and Chester. They also have two cats Squee and Elmo. |
 | Dee, Receptionist Dee was born and raised in Sterling Illinois with her twin sister Deonna. Dee moved to Las Vegas 13 years ago and has been a receptionist at Ann Road Animal Hospital since February 2007. She enjoys singing, dancing and the company of her two daughters, two grandkids, and her beloved dog Bre, a Shih Tzu. |
 | Ashley, Technician Ashley Duenas was born and raised in Yigo, Guam. She moved to Las Vegas when she was 10 years old, and graduated from high school here. She has been working at Ann Road Animal Hospital since January 2006. Ashley is currently attending PIMA Medical Institute, where she wants to pursue a career as Veterinary Technician. Her time away from work is spent with family and friends, and she especially enjoys bowling. Her home life is shared with her four dogs; 2 Chihuahaus, Kapua, and Pebbles, and 2 Staffordshire Terriers named Precious, and Piper. |
 | Ashley, Technician Ashley was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She has worked with exotic reptiles and mammals 3 and a half years prior to her veterinary experience. She is currently a 2010 graduate from PIMA Medical Institute, with an Associate Degree in Animal Science as a Veterinary Technician. Ashley started at Ann Road Animal Hospital as an extern in November of 2008. She has been employed with the Ann Road Family since January 2009. Ashley recently got married this year on October 9. Over her life span she has owned over 40 species of animals, and currentley owns 4 cats, 2 dogs, 4 turtles, 4, hedgehogs, 2 uromastyx, a yellow monitor, and a red flame knee tarantula. |
 | Nick, Technician Nick was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Las Vegas when he was 12 years old. He served 5 1/2 years in the United States Navy as a photo journalist. He joined Ann Road Animal Hospital in February 2007 as a kennel attendant and moved up quickly to become a veterinary assistant. He has studied hard and is now a valued veterinary technician and hopes to obtain his license. When he's not working, Nick enjoys watching movies, working-out, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. |
 | Natasha, Technician Tasha was born and rasied in Las Vegas. She is a 2008 graduate of PIMA Medical Institute with an Associate Degree in Animal Science as a Veterinary Technician. Tasha has been part of the Ann Road Team since its opening in 2005. She enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in veterinary medicine. In Tasha's free time she enjoys concerts, traveling, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Tasha shares her home with three miniature poodles, and a tortoise named Patron. |
